Witness Image develops photographic projects, stories and world-wide quality information through images on environmental issues, war, famine, natural disasters throughout the globe, child labour, women’s condition, human mass migration phenomena, health and rare diseases.
Witness Image offers the opportunity to photographers around the world to showcase their projects via the diffusion in international press and photojournalism festivals. We believe that a global narration is possible with the precious work of freelance photographers from around the world, particularly from developing countries and we wish to offer this opportunity to portray and document from within.
Witness Image offers Masterclasses in documentary photography. Witness Image board members will share their experiences with the participants who will work on portfolios, improve editing skills and learn how to pick up and develop stories, as well as project planning. Each day consists of intensive communication with the photographers on subjects ranging from technical aspects of shooting to the nuances of the international photo market. It is a unique opportunity to learn impactful visual storytelling, develop a personal vision, and gain new knowledge and contacts in an intimate and interactive environment.
